• after the war
The Battle of Hogwarts took place just months ago and with it, the end of Voldemort's second reign of terror. Magical creatures are scarcely found around the United Kingdom and Muggleborns are nearly depleted in numbers. Purebloods are almost just as bad off, as it would seem Halfbloods survived the best in odds.

After much debate with the new Ministry of Magic, new classes have been added and some old ones removed. The school has finally reopened after months of rebuilding, and students will return to hopefully rekindle the magical school to its former glory. Hogwarts will never be the same again, or will it? The new generation of students have arrived. The year 1998 will hopefully be a better year than the past few.

Saint Nicholas. The Sandman. The Tooth Fairy. The Easter Bunny. Mother Goose. The Boogeyman. The Man in the Moon. Real, real, real. Every one of them is real for you as long as you believe in them, but even if you don't, magic is becoming manifest in the world. Childhood legends, fairytale figures, mythological beings and even modern superheroes are arising.

The Greek, Roman, Norse, Egyptian, Gaelic, all other pantheons? Real. Quetzalcoatl and Anansi, Merlin and the Avatar? Real as well. The Fairy Godmother, the Big Bad Wolf, the Grim Reaper and the Leprechaun -- you guessed it, they're out there.

The Earth will never be the same again, and immortals and mortals and magical creatures alike are becoming embroiled in the war between the virtues and vices of the world. The Man in the Moon and the Boogeyman are each recruiting to their cause, and both sides have to give it all they've got if they want to tip the balance. With the darker side of human nature already clashing so dramatically with the light, nobody can say who will prevail.
