With school only a few weeks away, Diagon Alley was crowded to the point that Evan had to elbow his way to get from one shop to another. It was easy enough when he had his driver take him to where he wanted to go, but Evan hated being stared at, or labelled. It's only been a month since he moved to London and already he felt like an outsider. It was a whole different world from the one he knew back in New York, and somehow he felt like everyone knew that too. 

"Excuse me," the boy huffed, squeezing through a group of wizards. It took a few minutes, but Evan finally broke through the crowd and ended up standing in front of an ice cream shop. Ice Cream? Wasn't he supposed to be buying new robes? Okay, there was no denying it now. He was definitely lost. Maybe ditching the driver wasn't such a good idea. Maybe, if he wasn't so intent of having things go his own way, he wouldn't be stuck out in the open with no idea where he was. 

Annoyed, Evan crossed his arms over his chest and kept his eyes on the ice cream being displayed behind the glass. It took a while for him to notice the person looking at him from the other side...

Aaliyah let out a slight squeak as she pushed her way through the masses of people. Hogwarts was only a few weeks away and Diagon Alley was already so crowded. Thankfully she knew her way around Diagon Alley as she usually came with her parents to just look around and occasionally buy her a book or two. 

She huffed as she walked into her favorite ice cream shop, the Asric Wright's Ice Cream gallery. She quickly moved to the counter and ordered herself a strawberry and chocolate ice cream in a bowl before paying for it and moving to look around the gallery while eating her ice-cream. She curiously peeked out when she noticed a boy, around her age looking at the ice-cream that was displayed behind the glass. The blond tilted her head and continued to look at the boy, her eyes never leaving him, he didn't seem to notice her.

Getting lost wasn't really the problem. It was being able to finish the crap-load of errands he was supposed to accomplish at the end of the day. How was he supposed to do anything when he didn't even know where to start? Evan was still in the middle of figuring it all out when his gaze unfocused from the ice cream and zeroed in on the girl who had her eyes on him. 

He stared back, grey eyes a blank slate. "What?" He mouthed, the corners of his lips turning up into a half questioning smirk that bordered on being nonexistent. You wouldn't know he was smiling unless you were looking for it. The girl had a cone clasped in one hand and Evan couldn't help but glance at the ice cream before flickering his gaze back at the girl.

The blond watched him with a curious stare, her eyes locked on him as she ate her ice-cream. She felt her lips quirk into a smile when the boy finally focused on her. She wondered if he got lost and didn't know where to go. 

When he mouthed to her, she quirked her lips in a slight smile and tilted her head to the side, walking out of the shop and standing beside the boy. "Got lost?" She asked, her voice innocent and sweet though she was far from those two words.

If this was turning into some weird staring contest, Evan was tempted to just walk away and see if the girl would follow. He wouldn't be surprised if she did. Back in the US, it was hard to keep a low profile when almost every wizard he met already knew who he was. This time though, everyone was a stranger. The girl was a stranger. Hell, even his own parents were strangers sometimes. 
 
When he heard the bell of the door ring which signaled the exit and entrance of a customer, Evan tilted his head to the side to see the girl walking out. "Was it that obvious?" He leaned against the glass with one shoulder so he was completely facing her. "I was gonna buy some new robes." He shrugged, realizing how his American accent totally gave him away. "And I ended up over here."

Aaliyah couldn't help but quirk her lips in a small smile as she came face to face with the boy. The young witch waited for the boy to speak while she ate her ice-cream. 

"It was obvious. You were staring at this shop for quite a while without moving." She told him with a small giggle as she licked her ice-cream again, flicking her eyes up at him. "You're on the wrong side of Diagon Alley then." She told him with a small smile, she could hear the American accent pretty clear. "Do you want me to show you were the robe shops are?" She asked him, tilting her head slightly.
