• after the war
The Battle of Hogwarts took place just months ago and with it, the end of Voldemort's second reign of terror. Magical creatures are scarcely found around the United Kingdom and Muggleborns are nearly depleted in numbers. Purebloods are almost just as bad off, as it would seem Halfbloods survived the best in odds.

After much debate with the new Ministry of Magic, new classes have been added and some old ones removed. The school has finally reopened after months of rebuilding, and students will return to hopefully rekindle the magical school to its former glory. Hogwarts will never be the same again, or will it? The new generation of students have arrived. The year 1998 will hopefully be a better year than the past few.

quality quidditch quips
We've had a lot of issues in the past with getting the game of Quidditch up and running, so we've decided on a more simple approach. We'll have try outs once again and once we have at least 2 CHASERS, 1 BEATER, 1 KEEPER, and 1 SEEKER per teams we can begin the games.

The mods running that game or an admin will choose a sequence of numbers ranging anywhere from 1-100 and will have as many as 30 numbers in a sequence. These are chosen a day before the game even starts.

Each Chaser during a game will pick a number and the one closer to the actual number that was first selected in the number sequence gets the ball first. Chasers and Beaters can then start picking numbers

The announcer (admin or mod) will then say what the correct answer is and who has the ball, or who found the snitch (depending on who said the closest answer) after four to five posts. If the seeker gets close to the number, it only means they got close to getting the snitch or they caught the snitch depending on how close to the answer they were. Say they were off by 1-5 then the announcer might say they caught the snitch.

Chosen sequence: 4, 60, 90, 44, 66, 33, 6, 67, 8, 66, 7, 1, 2, 3, 5
Ravenclaw Chaser: 7 (insert roleplay of waiting for the game to start and reaching for the ball here)
Gryffindor Chaser: 60 (insert roleplay of waiting for the game to start and reaching for the ball here)
Admin/Mod as announcer: Ravenclaw gets the ball. The answer was 4
Ravenclaw Chaser: 9 (insert roleplay of grabbing the ball and taking off towards Gryffindor goal)
Gryffindor Chaser: 50 (insert roleplay of trying to take the ball)
Gryffindor Beater: 59 (insert roleplay of attempting to hit the ball from Ravenclaw)
Ravenclaw Beater: 1 ( (insert roleplay of attempting to block Gryffindor with bludger)
Admin/Mod as announcer: The Gryffindor Beater knocks the ball out of the Ravenclaw Chasers hands and Gryffindor now has the ball! The answer was 60!
Gryffindor Seeker: 1 (insert roleplay of searching for the snitch or finding it and chasing the snitch)
Gryffindor Chaser: 70 (insert roleplay of grabbing the ball and taking off towards Ravenclaw goal)
Ravenclaw Chaser: 10 (insert roleplay of trying to take the ball)
Ravenclaw Seeker: 40 (insert roleplay of searching for the snitch or even stalking the Gryffindor Seeker
Admin/Mod as announcer: The Gryffindor Seeker seems to be searching for the snitch but not seeing it! The Gryffindor Chaser is getting closer to the goal with the Ravenclaw Seeker hot on their tail and now it's up to the Keeper to see if he can protect the Ravenclaw post! The answer was 90
Gryffindor Chaser: 20 (insert roleplay of shooting at the goal)
Ravenclaw Chaser: 40 (insert roleplay of trying to grab ball)
Ravenclaw Keeper: 70 (insert roleplay of trying to block the ball)
Ravenclaw Seeker: 44 (insert roleplay of looking for snitch)
Admin/mod as announcer: Gryffindor scores thanks to the Keeper missing! The answer was 44! The Ravenclaw Seeker catches the snitch and wins for Ravenclaw! 150-10!
