The Battle of Hogwarts took place just months ago and with it, the end of Voldemort's second reign of terror. Magical creatures are scarcely found around the United Kingdom and Muggleborns are nearly depleted in numbers. Purebloods are almost just as bad off, as it would seem Halfbloods survived the best in odds.

After much debate with the new Ministry of Magic, new classes have been added and some old ones removed. The school has finally reopened after months of rebuilding, and students will return to hopefully rekindle the magical school to its former glory. Hogwarts will never be the same again, or will it? The new generation of students have arrived. The year 1998 will hopefully be a better year than the past few.

A scream tears through the dormitories and a figure jerks upright, bathed in sweat.

"No-"

Her words are cut off in a gasp as the dream fades. She is safe. The Death Eaters are gone, and the ones who got away daren't show their faces in public any more.

The other girls in the dormitory listen as she lies back down and her breathing settles into a more tranquil sleep. They've learned by now to let each-other have their dignity, in the aftermath of the war.

Battle Scarred is a dark post-potter roleplay, set just one year after the Second Wizarding War.

Harry Potter may have defeated Lord Voldemort, and his remaining supporters are now on the run, but everything is not all sunshine and roses. Scars, both physical and psychological have been left on the Wizarding World and the real story is only just beginning.
